Abuse by patent trolls, too, falls under this remit of change; the silence they impose on their victims, Non-Disclosure Agreements signed as the capstone flourish to their shakedown of humanity. With settlement agreements priced just under the likely costs of litigation to defend, even though one might have every right to use such technology, so flimsy are the patents these trolls wield like pummels against the potential of each hoper, dreamer, the economics just so often don’t work out for the sued… but what if there were an anonymous disclosure framework — maybe calling out aggressors, maybe not, but getting the numbers out there, shining a light on this dark and sordid market manipulation, this tax on possibility, this weight around the collective potential of humanity.
